Music lovers and Stravinsky enthusiasts may recognize the words of "Histoire du soldat", a mimodrama for three reciters and seven instrumentalists on a text by Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz.
The work, which has its roots on the shores of Lake Geneva, begins with this first line "Between Denges and Denezy...". Denezy, a village in the north of Vaud, located on the border of the canton of Fribourg, about thirty kilometers from Morges, indicates the long road of this soldier returning from war, playing the violin on the way.
Dreaming a little, one could almost hear the magic violin of the hero...
